[Solved] PFC MCP not working

The PM MCP software is running on Main Server PC, not Client. (that was just an experiment as said before).  I literally had everything on - MCP/Pilot Client/Co-Pilot Client/Engine Instruments Client/FMC - CDU Client/ and PM Wazzup client. Plus Jetliner Console.

All the above showed connected with WideServer/Wide Client, and working properly.

Still waiting to hear from PM.  They have been in touch asking for a File Checker Report, which I sent to them yesturday.

Ok. Are you running everything at the same permissions level?

If running everything (on the server PC) with standard privileges, maybe worth testing with Admin privileges (as you have FSX installed under a windows-protected folder).

Be aware that all FSUIPC clients need to be ran at the same privilege level as FSUIPC, otherwise they cannot connect.

As the IPC logging only shows entries for WideClient, it looks like the PM Software on the server isn't connecting to FSUIPC - is there anything in the PM MCP logs to indicate if it can connect to FSUIPC or not?

Could you run another test with the same logging, but this time only use the server, and don't start WideClient on the client. This would confirm if anything on the server is communicating with FSUIPC.

Not sure if everything is running with same permission level - will need to check.  As you know all my Client PC's are connecting and all working correctly - instruments, Pilot, Co-Pilot etc etc.

Admin privileges - my PC Chap is here tomorrow afternoon and will get him to check.

I'll have a look at the PM MCP Log tomorrow to see if it indicates any connection with FSUIPC.

Yes, I'll try running FSX with no Clients on, and then send another Log.

Sorry for the slight delays all the time.  My Simulator is directly below a self contained flat that we let at our home.  This means I have to pick my moments to turn everything on.  The room is not sound proofed from what is a bedroom above.

Please find attached additional FSUIPC Log.  All I put on was PM MCP and PFC MCP Hardware.  I put FSX into windowed mode, and moved some of the knobs etc on the 2D MCP on screen with my mouse.  That may have produced certain responses in the Log for you to see.

The log shows lots of activity, including many reads of the PM offset area 5400-5FFF. However, most (nearly all) of the data read from the PM area is empty, so it looks like this isn't being updated.

Sorry, but not sure what else to recommend. Lets see what PM support / Enrico has to say.

Please check the privileges though, and maybe try running everything with Admin privileges (including FSX) to see if this makes a difference.
