OK, it is the PM MCP ini that requires knowing which Com Port is in use - not in FSUIPC ini. I believe FSUIPC is required for the PM MCP to 'talk' with FSX, and the information from the FSX MCP can then be transferred to the PFC MCP (or more normally the other way around using knobs, switches etc from within Cockpit)
I am not sure if software talks to PFC MCP and FSUIPC - PM should know this.
I am in touch with PM support - in fact sent them a copy of your last Post. They have responded already, so I will try and keep you in the loop as what they say.

Ok - this makes sense...
Then when running the PM MCP software on a client PC, you would also need the PFC MCP connected on the client PC.

Yes - the PM MCP reads/updates FSX via FSUIPC offsets, but will communicte to the PFC MCP directly (i.e. no via FSUIPC).

Ok. Can you also set logging for IPC Reads and Writes and show me a FSUIPC4.log file. This would show if the PM MCP Software is talking to FSUIPC.
Hi, just for your information I ran the PFCFSX file checker. All OK except the MCP. I think it said 'No expected results seen'. As you have said I don't think this would be seen anyway, probaby because it is running at 19200 bps and not seen by your driver. I think this is probably a PM issue, and I have sent to them today a new File Checker file for their consideration.
Re 'set logging for IPC Reads and Writes' - That is beyond my pay grade, sorry. If you can give me a step by step I'll gladly try, or I am sure my PC Chap can do this on Friday.

Just go to the FSUIPC Logging tab and check for logging of IPC reads and IPC writes. See the FSUIPC user guide for details on logging.
@fsuipc-support Found the Tab you mention. Will 'check' Read and Write tomorrow, and will attach a new log for you. Thanks for that advice.
@selkan Ok - but please attach to the end of this thread... its a bit of a pain to find new messages embedded as a response to old messages (like this one!).
I am going to remove the 'Reply' button for specific messages...when I have worked out how to do this!
