Java Simulator Overahead Medium Issues
Hello,
I just picked up a second hand one of these removed link
I watched it working before picking up, and after installing everything required I just cant get it to work. He was on the latest JS-Connect, and FSUIPC7.4. I cant get it to work with either the latest or that version that he was using. Sorry if I shouldn't ask this question here, it's just the response time with the Java Simulator service is a bit slow., so I'd figure I'd ask here aswell.
With my FSUIPC install, it was never installing the WASM module into my community folder correctly, I had to download the standalone from this website and do it myself. The console log then said it now detected it, still wouldn't work however. I could see the lvar and whatnot loaded which I didn't see before. I talked to the guy and he said I can get a refund, but I much prefer it to just work, as I know from seeing it that it isn't broken.
I open the JS-Connect software, it sees and connects to the FSUIPC and tells me the version, it also sees the simulator (MSFS24), but it just doesn't want to work in the game. It auto connects, all the lights turn on, then it just goes back to normal again. No battery voltage screen on, no buttons working in game.
This is the the Fenix A320 btw.
Any help is appreciated.

What do you mean by 'can't get it to work'? Is the device recognised by FSUIPC?

What is the 'java simulator service'? Is this an FSUIPC client?
Can you please show me / attach your FSUIPC7.log and FSUIPC7.ini files.

Why not? Can you also please attach your InstallFSUIPC7.log file so I can check this for errors.

Was the guy you purchased this from also using the Fenix A320? Have you tried any other aircraft? What FS/simulator are you using - MSFS2020 or MSFS2024?
I am unable to get the controls an of the button pressing to follow through to in game. Java Simulator are a company that make flight simulator controls. By that I meant that there customer service team can take a while to respond to issues. JS-Connect is their software.
There are the requested files. The guy I bought it off said he was running 7.4 of FSUIPC. I tried with his version and it still didn't work. He waas also flying Fenix, and MSFS24.
Thankyou.
Your installation log shows no errors and that the WASM was installed in your Community folder at the following location:
C:\Users\cvase\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community\
Is that the correct location? This location is taken from the InstalledPackagesPath variable defined in your UserCfg.opt file:
C:\Users\cvase\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\UserCfg.opt

Presumably all your assignments are done in the java simulator software, as you are using the free/unlicensed version of FSUIPC7. If this software is using FSUIPC7, then it must be using the FSUIPC offsets. Could you activate logging for IPC Reads and IPC Writes (from the FSUIPC7 Log menu), and show me another FSUIPC7.log file with this logging activated.
Your FSUIPC7.log file shows no errors, and I think you probably need support from the java simulator software provider, or help from the guy who sold you the overhead. However, I can take a look at your log file with the IPC logging added and this should show if the java software is communicating with FSUIPC7.
One other thing to check is the privilege level that your software is running under. FSUIPC7 is running with standard privileges - you must therefore run any software that communicates with FSUIPC (i.e the Java Simulator Software) at the same level, so check this isn't being ran as Admin. If it is, set FSUIPC7 to also run with Admin privileges.

@fsuipc-support Yeah that's the correct directory and everything, it just genuinely didn't install. Not sure if windows antivirus killed it, can check if you'd like. After the standalone install it detected it and said it connected WASM successfully in the console log, still didn't fix the issue.
Ran everything with Admin and didn't help unfortunately.
Here is the new log file that you requested.
Thankyou for your help so far.
@fsuipc-support Also just to clarify as I did not, Java Simulator states that you don't need the full version of FSUIPC7.
