"Using the General assignments only (no aircraft-specific profile currently in use)"
"2210 Lvars, 220 hvars, 24 Input Events & 22714 presets available"
That is normal. It will only show a profile name if you have created the profile and it is assigned to the currently loaded aircraft. It sounds like you do not understand how profiles work - please see the User guide on this.
Note also that profiles are only used for assignments, i.e. for the licensed version of FSUIPC7. Profiles are not supported for the free version.
I'm trying to use Flight Sim First Officer (FSFO) alongside FSUIPC7
Several people have reported issues the FSFO not working correctly...if you have an issue with FSFO, contact FSFO support. If you have an issue with FSUIPC7, then show me / attach your FSUIPC7.log file. And for FSFO, I presume that you only need the free version, so nothing to do with profiles.
I think this missing aircraft-specific profile is why FSFO isn't able to properly write data into the MCDU/FMC during flows.
No - nothing to do with profiles...
MSFS 2024 loaded fully into the cockpit first, then FSUIPC7 (run as administrator)
If you are running FSUIPC7 with administrator priviliges (why?), then you must also run all FSUIPC7 clients, including FSFO, with the same privileges, otherwise it will not connect. All FSUIPC7 clients must run at the same privilege level aa FSUIPC7, and it is always better to just use standard privileges unless you have a good reason not to (i.e. one of the FSUIPC7 clients needs to be ran with elevated privileges),
Is there a specific aircraft profile I need to install or select for the FBW A320 to stop it defaulting to "General assignments only"? Any help appreciated.
You create your own profiles (nothing to download), and they are for assignments only (i.e. a profile is a bunch of assignments used by a specific aircraft or group of aircraft).
