[Solved] PMDG 737 MSFS 2024 – FMC Origin/Destination uitlezen via FSUIPC7 offsets
Posted by: @menteNormal PMDG system data is being received correctly.
Ah, missed this...then I think you just ran the script to early, before any CDU data had been received....
Thank you for testing. I repeated the test with the PMDG 737-700 fully loaded in MSFS 2024 and the RTE page open, with EHGG and EHAM entered.
The attached FSUIPC7.log confirms that SF_CDU_PROEF started approximately 95 seconds after FSUIPC started and completed normally. However, the CDU output still contains blank lines and POWERED=0 for both CDUs. Regular PMDG system data was already available before the test.
Regarding WASM: InstallFSUIPC7.log reports successful installation. The fsuipc-lvar-module folder and modules\FSUIPC7_WASM.wasm are present in the Community folder matching the current InstalledPackagesPath. Nevertheless, FSUIPC reports “FSUIPC WASM module not detected”.
Could you advise on the next diagnostic step, and whether these two issues could be related?

Does the following file exist:
C:\Users\Mente Holwerda\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community\fsuipc-lvar-module\layout.json
?
FSUIPC7 checks for access to that file to determine if the WASM is installed or not. It it exists, the issue could be one of two things:
1. The file permissions. Did you run the FSUIPC installer as admin? If so, this is not necessary - you should just run it as a standard user, and the installer will request elevated privileges which you need to accept.
2. You have a space in your user account name. This is generally a bad idea and can cause quite a few issues. However, I think the FSUIPC installer, as well as FSUIPC7 itself, should handle this. But it looks like it has installed correctly, but FSUIPC7 has no access, which is strange (if its not a permissions issue).

Try changing the CDU screens, then re-run your script. Please do this several times. Please try this - and be persistent. As I said, run your lua script on a key/button press. Change the CDU screen data, re-run the script. And repeat. Please test heavily and repeatedly to see if you get anything from these offsets.
As I say, there is no issue here, but I do not have the 737 for MSFS2024 - I have only checked this with the 777 in MSFS2024, and the 737 in MSFS2020. But the code is the same. If its not working for the MSFS2024 737, it will be an issue for PMDG.
I can ask PMDG for the MSFS2024 version of the 737, but I am reluctant to do this until I am confident that it is an issue with the aircraft that needs investigating. If you can test fully (i.e. run the script multiple times, several minutes after loading, and your results are always empty) and still get the same issue, I will discuss with PMDG and maybe get this bird and test here to confirm that this is an issue.
Regards,
John
Also, can you please add the 'TestOptions=x400' line to your FSUIPC7.ini for the next logs you generate. I need this to confirm that the PMDG data is active before I can raise this issue with PMDG.
Hello John,
Thank you for your help and testing. Good news: the CDU test now works with my PMDG 737 in MSFS 2024!
I added TestOptions=x400 under [General] in FSUIPC7.ini and assigned the test script to HOTAS button 3. I ran it manually after the cockpit had fully loaded.
Both CDU screens are being read correctly. With the left CDU displaying the RTE page, ORIGIN EHGG and DEST EHAM appear correctly in the output. The log also contains “PMDG 737 Client Data Received”.
The broadcast settings were already enabled in 737_Options.ini at the MS Store location you provided.
However, the new log still reports “FSUIPC WASM module not detected”, although I previously attempted to install it. That issue remains unresolved.
Attached are the new FSUIPC7.log and SF_CDU_PROEF.txt showing EHGG and EHAM. Your advice has helped us make real progress—many thanks!
Kind regards,
Mente
