MSFS2024 Aircraft Specific Profile Not Loading when Spawning
Hi - I've setup profile specific controller settings for both the PMDG 737 and Fenix airbus. When spawning in the sim, the profiles are not activating. I have to bring up the FSUIPC interface in order to activate the specific profile. FSUIPC does auto start when the sim launches, and I am running a licensed version. Can't figure why this is happening. Thanks
Profiles are not loaded if the name of the current loaded aircraft does not match those assigned to the profile. If you think a profile should have been loaded but isn't, when this occurs, please exit FSUIPC7 and show me / attach your FSUIPC7.ini and FSUIPC7.log files and I will take a look.

For all auto-start issues, please see this FAQ entry:

@fsuipc-support Thanks - Interesting, I've never realized the name of the profile has to match the name of the plane. So I'm clear here, if I'm running the PMDG 737, what should the profile name be?
No, its the name of the aircraft in the profile that have to match (i.e. substring match), not the profile name itself. When you add an aircraft to a profile, or create a new profile for the aircraft, the aircraft name is added under the [Profile.xxx] section (where xxx is the name of the profile). When you do this, its a good idea to edit the name added (NOT the profile name!) so that it is a substring that will match all variants.
Note the aircraft names, as seen by FSUIPC, are quite different in MSFS2024 than in MSFS2020.
Also, if using the PMDG 737 with MSFS2024, you should update to the latest beta (available from a post in the the News section of this forum). This has some improvements in starting/stopping the PMDG specific threads (used to populate the PMDG-specific offsets) and also with loading of profiles when using UseAirLocForProfiles.

Hi sorry, been a few days away. Let me try a flight this evening and see how it goes. Where do I get the log files from

Your FSUIPC7 installation folder, and the FSUIPC7.ini file can also be found there. Make sure that you do not have windows explorer set to hide the extensions of known file types (which is a common issue when people cannot find/see these files).
