[Solved] FSUIPC does not load presets

I deleted the FSUIPC7 documentation folder located in Documents. It contains the manuals and etc. That was the only thing I did differently to get it working again.

That should make no difference whatsoever. - I think it was just a coincidence. That folder isn't used for anything at all by FSUIPC7, except for creating the 'Controls List' document.

The TBM is really a problem.

Yes I know, it has been problematic since 2022.

I want to use the throttle with the mouse (when it’s on the right side). When the throttle is on the left side (power, taxi, and reverse), I want to use my physical throttle. However, that’s not working either.

That may be possible, not sure... Did you check-out those links I posted? I will take another look to see how this can be set-up, but it will probably take a day or three before I can look into this.

@fsuipc-support I recorded a video to show what happens with my X56: https://youtu.be/3kl8GBBOr2w?si=L01wGaFHnvjuweug

Sorry, but the issue for this topic is 'FSUIPC does not load presets'. I believe this issue is now solved. If you have another issue, can you please raise a different topic. It helps to separate issues so that they can be found more easily by other users.

Does that relate to you 'FSUIPC does not load presets issue'? If not, no point posting it. And if its the TBM issue, please read those posts I already referenced, raise a new topic, and wait for my response. As I said, I will look at this (again) when I have time.

If your preset issue is resolved, I will close this thread now.

Just took a look at that video and its not related to the TBM throttle, but I am not sure what it is supposed to show.
Is this related to your mode switch? Can you explain the issue please - I thought this was resolved.

@fsuipc Hi John, the video shows the problem I'm having with the X56 selector (M1,M2 2 S1) and the SLD button (it's a position button). It has no relation to any plane. This happens to anyone. When I reinstalled FSUIPC, the selector started working again. However, when I restarted my computer, the selector no longer worked. This video shows that, when switching to M1, M2 or S1 modes, nothing happens. This also applies to the SLD button.

Ok - so the issue that was resolved has returned. That is strange.... and you could have mentioned that! Telling me it is again not recognised is sufficient (I believe you!) - I don't need to see a video.

No it doesn't - there are plenty of folks using the mode switch on the X56 with FSUIPC. See this post / tutorial on using it (method not recommended!) for example:

    https://forum.simflight.com/topic/99676-guide-x56-hotas-how-to-use-the-mode-switch-m1m2m3-to-control-multiple-functions-in-fsuipc7/#comment-598595

The usual issue for the mode and slider switches not being recognised is due to having the Saitek/Logitech drivers and software installed for this device. These seem to block FSUIPC from seeing these switches, so if you are using any Logitech / Saitek software or drivers, you need to uninstall those and delete the driver files, disconnect your devices, reboot, reconnect and let windows install the default windows drivers.

If you get the same issue after that, you may need to rename (or delete) a file called SaiD053C.pro in your C:\Windows\System32 folder. Rename that file (so it is not loaded), reboot and try again. If that causes any issues, put it back and reboot. This was mentioned in the following post, but the OP never reported back if this worked (and he was reluctant to uninstall the Logitech / Saitek drivers) - see  https://forum.simflight.com/topic/90760-can-i-use-this-with-the-mode-switch-on-my-x56/#findComment-549609

Also, a tip on using profiles: when you create or add an aircraft to a profile, you should edit the aircraft name in the profile section of your FSUIPC7.ini file to a substring that will match all variants of the aircraft. Otherwise, if you use a different livery, the name won't match and the profile won't load. For example, for your 737 800 profile, change:

[Profile.737 800]
1=PMDG 737-800 PMDG House (N738BW | 2022)

to

[Profile.737 800]
1=PMDG 737-800

That will then match with all aircraft that contain the string 'PMDG 737-800'. Do something similar for all the aircraft in your profile sections.

@fsuipc Following someone's recommendation here on the forum, I had already uninstalled the x56 software. This file SaiD053C.pro does not exist for me. I'll keep trying and thank you for your help and attention.
