[Solved] FSUIPC 7.5.7 and MSFS2020 updates

Hi,

Just received my Streamdeck XL, and purchased 'Aerolens' panel buttoms for my TBM930. I updated my FSUIPC to 7.5.7. When I loaded my FS, I noted 355 scenery/worldupdates/city updates that were all up-to-date, are now not so. I re-booted my Sim, and that number reduced to 55.

Would appreciate anyone showing me where I've gone wrong and how to fix this problem.

Thanks

Beaver

Sorry, I have no idea - FSUIPC has nothing at all do do with FS updates or the FS content. I am not sure what your issue even is, but if its related to MSFS content then try the Asobo forums.

Hi, again,

Thanks for your response. I now know that I had some other issues, so I 'bit the bullet' and re-installed my FS2020 from scratch. I then re-installed FSUIPC7 and all is good to go.

On my desktop, I now have two MSFS 2020 icons....one is the original, and it displays FSUIPC7 on-screen as it loads up.

The second icon...the FS7 one is from my re-install of FSUIPC7 and showing the message about configuring the cabin.

Do they both have the same result, or is one preferred over the other?

Also, as an afterthought, I can recall the name of 'Dowson' from my very early days of simming decades ago....are you the same person?

They both do the same thing - start MSFS. The one installed by the FSUIPC installer just shows the 'Preparing the cabin...' splash-screen for 30 seconds or so to let you know that MSFS is starting. You don't need to use that or even install it if not using - you can deselect the installation of this shortcut at the end of the installation process.

This is alll described in the Installation and Registration guide, section Creating a Desktop Shortcut.

No - that will be my father, Pete Dowson, the original author/developer of FSUIPC, and now retired. I took over 7-8 years ago.

Regards,

John
