I am trying to assign joystick axes. when I move the joystick I don't see a menu to assign the movement to. Obviously, I'm missing something but I did not see anything in the user guide that would leave me to believe there is something else I have to do to get an assignment menu. I am using the default "send to msfs as normal axis" setting. I am trying to set up aileron/elevator controls.

When you move the axis, the joystick number or letter and axis letter is recognised (and associated fields populated). If you then clicked to 'send to msfs as normal axis', you must then click the checkbox to activate the menu to assign to a control. Clicking on the checkbox will populate the menu for the assignments available. You can assign up to 4 controls to an axis, but you need to activate the checkbox to the left of the drop-down menus to activate them.
