What is the best way to check for the existence of an Lvar using a Lua script?

And as an aside, how can I search this Forum for a particular topic? I can't seem to find a search function.

Thanks,

Al

Hi Al,

You can use ipc.getLvarId("L:name"), which will return nil if the lvar doesn't exist.

The search buttons / icons are not currently being displayed for some reason. I will look into this after I have release 7.5.6 at the weekend (currently available as a beta release from the News section).

You can search by going to:

Not sure why the search icon isn't being displayed - I will look into it.

I have enabled the search icon in the forum menu bar now, but it looks pretty ugly, and the text entered is white on a white background...! I will see if I can improve this.
