Im stocking when uninstalling my FSUIPC 7 with MSFS 2024 MS Store
Hello, i just need to uninstall and reinstall my FSUIPC7 due to not working (now opening with MSFS2024 such as manually and automatically). when i select uninstall, its going to stuck here.
anyone can help me with this?
Looks like there is an issue with your EXE.xml file. Try manually correcting that file - i.e. make sure that it is a correctly formatted xml file and that it has the correct encoding. See the following FAQ entry on auto-start which has details on the format of the EXE.xml file:

Once you have corrected that, you can then re-install FSUIPC7.

Generally, re-installing won't do anything. If its not auto-starting, see that FAQ entry. Also, please check your InstallFSUIPC7.log file for any errors after installation. You can also post / attach that here if you have issues.

If you have doubts, you can also post / attach your EXE.xml file here and I can correct it for you...the location will be logged in your InstallFSUIPC7.log file.

Hi I am facing similar issue,
It said my EXE.xml is corrupted, I opened it and it seems like the simbase.document type is different compare to the faq one. Not sure why. But when I open MSFS2024, FSUIPC7 can auto start.
I have steam version MSFS2024. Previously installed FSUIPC7 and recently need to update it, so it triggered an uninstallation message for me. It got stuck in the same place, where it couldn't read the xml file.

I have another file call SimConnect.xml in the same msfs 2024 dir fyi.
Can you please attach your EXE.xml file - no point copy/pasting it or attaching images. Most of these issues are due to the character encoding of the file, and I can only check this if you attach the file as-is. But if the encoding is wrong, this will also affect the installation of the auto-start component. Please see the FAQ entry (referenced above) on the correct encoding of the EXE.xml file.
If you kill / cancel the uninstaller and continue with the installation, does it install correctly?

Yes, that is normal and has no relevance to the EXE.xml.

I am able to kill the uninstaller process, most of the things gets removed. And am able to install. Just that it can't open the xml file.
