This are the (new) Support Forums for FSUIPC and related products.

These forums replace the old support forums which have been running for 20+ years. The old forums contain a wealth of information on all FSUIPC products, and are still available (until the end of the year) for read-only here.

At the moment these new forums are quite empty – I will be updating the FAQ section and copying across the User Contributions from the old forums in the next few months.

fsuipc7 msfs2024 PMDG 738 problem

I have a problem with the new PMDG 738.
I’ve configured all my controls via FSUIPC.
When I take off and activate the auto throttle, my plane doesn’t go faster than 230 knots. If I now turn off FSUIPC or open the assignments menu, it returns to the speeds indicated in my FMC.
In all my other planes, there’s no problem.

Thanks in advance.

Loss of speed with PMDG aircraft is usually due to incorrect flaps assignment. See the following post:

@klm737 why not? Please attach your FSUIPC7.ini file so that I can see your assignments. Also attach your FSUIPC7,log file.

Note that I am now travelling and away from my PC, and so support will be intermittant until I return on Sunday.

Try removing / resetting any calibration you have on your flaps.

Well, your ini shows that you have your flaps assigned to standard FS flaps controls and also calibrated in FSUIPC, so this will be the reason why you have loss of speed. Please see that other post I referred to to configure your flaps correctly to prevent this issue.

Your ini file is also a bit of a mess. You have assignments to two device that no longer exist (Flight Yoke System and Flight Throttle Quadrant) and the GUIDs of your devices have changed a few times for some reason., and rather than correcting for this you have re-assigned to the new device letters. I have tried to correct this for you in the attached ini., if you can try this. I have also removed the flaps calibration.

Some other observations:

1. You have have your left/right brakes assigned on your TCA Quadrant Boeing 1&2, as well as on your rudder pedals

2. You have assigned many axes (ailerons, elevator, flaps, spoiler, throttle) using ‘Send to FS as normal axis’ and have also calibrated in FSUIPC7. This is not a good idea, especially with complex add-ons such as PMDG aircraft. And as you are not using profiles, the calibration will apply to all aircraft and also when your axes are assigned elsewhere (e.g. in MSFS itself) which can cause issues. Unless you only fly one aircraft, you should use profiles, and calibration should always be done in a profile (if flying multiple aircraft).

Sorry, this isn’t working for me. As soon as I take off, it goes to 230 knots.
If I close FSUIPC or open the Axes menu, for example, it goes back to flying at the speed set in my FMC.

thanks for your work
