[Solved] FSUIPC7 and MS2024 Usage?

A bit confused! Does FSUIPC Ver 7 actually replace the confusing and buggy MS2024 "profiles" and over-ride them? So, I would be able to ignore the stock binding system? The basic stock system of assigning bindings in MS2024 is driving me crazy! Thanks a lot!

It doesn't replace them, you can still assign in MSFS, but it provides its own profiles for assignments in FSUIPC.

Yes you can. And if you assign a button or axis in FSUIPC7, you need to make sure the same button/axis is not assigned n MSFS.

If you don't yet have a license and would like to try FSUIPC7, there is a trial license available from the FSUIPC7 product page. Please try the trial license before purchase.

Note that when using profiles in FSUIPC7, it is a good idea to edit the name of the aircraft used by the profile (once you create a profile or add an aircraft an existing profile) so that it matches other variants of the same aircraft. Alternatively, you can set the ini parameter UseAirLocForProfiles, but this currently doesn't work that well in MSFS2024 in the current release of FSUIPC7 and so is not recommended. However, there are some improvements on using this method of profile matching in the next release of FSUIPC7, which are already available in the latest beta release, which you can download from the News section of this forum.

For further information on profiles, please see the section User profiles for all control settings on page 23 of the FSUIPC7 User guide.

I have been trying to purchase FSUIPC7 from Simarket but am having a problem with the site. Will not recognize my password nor will it allow me to change it. Submitted a ticket. The program is working great with MS2024 using the Temporary password that you provided. Quick question: If I program all of my inputs into the program and then purchase it, will it keep the programming, or will I need to start over? Thanks for your quick reply and great support!

All settings will be preserved. All your assignments and settings are stored in the FSUIPC7.ini file, so as long as you have that you have your assignments.

The trial license is valid until the end of the month, so just keep using that until your SimMarket password issue is resolved.

Cheers,

John

Should I remove the temporary ".key" file before I attempt to register the purchased program? Thanks...
