Doesn’t always work but says connected
Hi I’m having trouble with switches not mirroring the sim when I load a new flight. The switch is recognised with FSUIPC7 in the buttons menu but without reloading buttons it doesn’t enable the cockpit switch within the FSUIPC interface it does say connected to fs2024 in FS2020 I rarely had a problem occasionally I had to disconnect from sim ad then reconnect and all was ok never had to reload buttons any advice would be greatly appreciated. I do have GIT installed and always have but at the same time of going to FS2024 I added 4x realsimgear modules otherwise all standard add ons honeycomb etc
Can you please activate logging for Buttons & Keys and show me / attach your FSUIPC7.log file showing your issue. Can you also please attach your FSUIPC7.ini file.

What do you mean by this? This doesn't make sense - how can it connect to MSFS2024 if using MSFS2020?
I don't think FSUIPC7 reports what version of MSFS it is connected to, except via the version numbers in the log file.

I was using FS2020 for 2 years without any major problem with FSUIPC7 Occasionally I had to disconnect and reconnect back to FS2020 through FSUIPC Interface but only occasionally. I then have started using FS2024 for about a week now and as an example of what is happening is
3 Flights started 3 ended with “END FLIGHT”, all good
Fourth flight ended with ”MAIN MENU” and then restarted at same airport not touching or changing anything else. Nothing then works that is connected through FSUIPC. If I then go to “RELOAD ALL BUTTONS” then buttons etc starts working, not always the first time but always eventually does. Please note within the interface it always says “CONNECTED” disconnecting and reconnecting as I did with FS2020 does not solve the problem. Hope this is a better explanation

Please post here for your responses - All your emails have been ignored and deleted. I only provide support via these forums (and Discord).

Well, isn't that the whole point of having a support forum? If I provide support via email, then this is 1-1, and I would continually be responding to the same questions from different users. With all posts here, people can see if they have the same issue and the responses I provide to this issue, so I don't have to always respond individually to the same questions.
Note I didn't read your emails or see any attached files, so you will need to repost those here.

You shouldn't really need to do this...

As I said, I need to see your files showing your issue, with the requested logging activated. I may need additional logging as well, but lets start with just logging for Buttons & Keys activated. As soon as you get your error, exit FSUIPC7 and show me the log and ini file. You can then restart FSUIPC7 and see if it then works as expected.
