This are the (new) Support Forums for FSUIPC and related products.

These forums replace the old support forums which have been running for 20+ years. The old forums contain a wealth of information on all FSUIPC products, and are still available (until the end of the year) for read-only here.

At the moment these new forums are quite empty – I will be updating the FAQ section and copying across the User Contributions from the old forums in the next few months.

[Solved] CTD After Landing – MSFS2020

I just had a CTD after I landed and was starting to taxy to the gates.

The event viewer stated

“Faulting application name: FSUIPC7.exe, version: 7.5.0.5, time stamp: 0x6910614c
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.26100.7462, time stamp: 0x9225342c
Exception code: 0xc000041d
Fault offset: 0x000000000000aa83
Faulting process id: 0x463C”

I only use FSUIPC as the communication tool – I don’t use it to bind any controls.

I had no issues with the flight until I had landed and at the time I was going to the default Asobo KATL.

MSFS2020 has been extremely reliable, and this has just came out of the blue.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is this a CTD in MSFS2020, or in FSUIPC7?

I expect this is a CTD in MSFS. When MSFS CTDs, this creates a ‘fault’ (i.e. NOT a CTD) in FSUIPC7, and FSUIPC7 then exits as MSFS is no longer available. Check your FSUIPC7.log file (or attach it) – it most probably logged an exception (corresponding to the fault in event viewer) and then exited.

CTDs in MSFS are not caused by FSUIPC7, and I cannot help with MSFS CTDs. If you check the event viewer again, you should see an MSFS CTD event before the fault event in FSUIPC7.

Check the Asobo forums for MSFS CTDs, and report there with the MSFS event viewer information.

John

Hi John,

Many thanks for the clarification.  I didn’t get a CTD on my last flight, but I don’t have any confidence that I’ve fixed the issue.  I made a couple of changes, but I don’t think that they cured the problem (removed GSX and reduced the number of AI aircraft in Beyond ATC.

I’ll check the .log file if/when I get another CTD.

Best regards,

Peter
