This are the (new) Support Forums for FSUIPC and related products.

These forums replace the old support forums which have been running for 20+ years. The old forums contain a wealth of information on all FSUIPC products, and are still available (until the end of the year) for read-only here.

At the moment these new forums are quite empty – I will be updating the FAQ section and copying across the User Contributions from the old forums in the next few months.

Please note that you will need to Register and Login to post for support, and also to download attachments. You can view these forums without registering.

Correct way to load auto-save

Dying to get the auto-save feature to work in 2024 w/ PMDG 777. It seems to mostly work, however on save states where the plane is in flight, save outcome always yields the craft on ground, and therefore it nearly instantly crashes. Is there a proper way to load the save state so it prevents this behavior?

Sorry but this is an MSFS issue. Saving and loading flights is hit-and-miss in both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 – it seems to work for some aircraft but not all. FSUIPC just uses the load / save functions provided by the MSFS SDK. The SimConnect_FlightSave function is still documented as ‘not working’ (i.e. ‘NOTE: The current status of this function is NO ERROR, NO RESPONSE.‘) in MSFS2020, but I see now that this should now actually be working in MSFS2024.

There is already a report of a similar issue in MSFS2024, but using the games in-built save/load functions (which should be the same as when using FSUIPC7) – see https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/loading-saved-flight-forces-plane-to-the-ground-for-walkaround-even-if-the-plane-is-saved-in-flight/720652

Maybe check the PMDG support forums to see if there is any additional information there.
