This are the (new) Support Forums for FSUIPC and related products.

These forums replace the old support forums which have been running for 20+ years. The old forums contain a wealth of information on all FSUIPC products, and are still available (until the end of the year) for read-only here.

At the moment these new forums are quite empty – I will be updating the FAQ section and copying across the User Contributions from the old forums in the next few months.

Please note that you will need to Register and Login to post for support, and also to download attachments. You can view these forums without registering.

Receiving Following error: “Failed to make FStar RC RWS file”. Being used in conjunction with LorbySceneryExport.exe. Been using this combo for years with no problems. Thank you.

As Pete, the author of this utility, has now retied, MakeRunways is no longer supported. From the download page:

Note that MakeRunways is now closed for further development, as Peter Dowson, the original author of this product, has now retired. However, you can download the source and update for your own needs. The source code for this utility is available on GitHub at the following location: https://github.com/jldowson/MakeRunways/. If you would like to take over development and support of this product, please PM me via the support forum (SimMarket)(John Dowson).

Sorry but I just don’t have the time or resources to take on support of this utility.

Hi John. I appreciate this is something Pete created many years ago but given I’m still using v5.131 directly and not via a Lorby application will it continue to function if run directly?

It creates data for Radar Contact v4 which I and others still use in P3D v5.3HF2.

I don’t know – why not just try it? If you don’t use the Lorby scenery exporter, I guess it will only generate data for your P3D runways and not any add-ons (although can depend how they are added). If it was previously working with the Lorby Scenery exporter, it should still work. I don’t know why you are now getting an error.
Are you running it from the correct place, i.e. in the P3D root folder?

Btw, you should update to the latest available version of FSUIPC5, which is 5.157. I only support the latest version of each product.

Hi John. I’ve installed FSUIPC6 v6.2.0.2 and run MakeRunways v5.1.3. All completed okay with no errors.

@GMMA91 should check LorbyScenery.cfg in the main P3D folder for any issues.
