This are the (new) Support Forums for FSUIPC and related products.
These forums replace the old support forums which have been running for 20+ years. The old forums contain a wealth of information on all FSUIPC products, and are still available (until the end of the year) for read-only here.
At the moment these new forums are quite empty – I will be updating the FAQ section and copying across the User Contributions from the old forums in the next few months.
Please note that you will need to Register and Login to post for support, and also to download attachments. You can view these forums without registering.
Support is also available via Discord. Please use the following invite link to join the FSUIPC Discord server:

Problems with purchases or passwords on SimMarket
If you need to raise any sort of problem with SimMarket — for instead you forget your password or can’t access your account for any reason, you should go to SimMarket via this link and report the details there:
http://secure.simmarket.com/customerservice.php
Please do not post any issues with SimMarket in these forums. These forums are for FSUIPC (and related products) only – I do not provide support for any issues with SimMarket.

Hi. I have had to reinstall FSUIPC7 following a hardware upgrade. Now having problems registering. I have contacted simmarket and input my details (copy and posted) exactly as they are listed, however it still won’t register.
What else can i try?
Thanks

You could try reading the documentation, namely the Installation and Registration guide, section Invalid Key Details.
All such reports with registration are always down to user error, either not copying and pasting the key details correctly, or not having the required VC__ redistributables installed. Please read the documentation.
If you still have issues after installing the required VC + + redistributables and checking that all 3 parts of the key match exactly as written, then you can post your order number here and I will check it. However, please note that EVERY key I have checked is valid, and this is ALWAYS down to user error.
I really don’t understand why so many people report this issue. Can you please tell me what is not clear on the documentation on this issue?
John
Always great to get a really patronising reply back. I did read the installation and registration guide and followed the instructions, but I was unaware of the required “VC__ redistributables” issue because this issue only actually became apparent AFTER i had skipped the registration step and tried to run FSUIPC.
Perhaps that’s why you get so many people having problems?
Sorry to have inconvenienced you.

Sorry you feel that way. I don’t mean to be patronising, but I get this reported so often and it is ALWAYS down to user error, and by the user not consulting the documentation before postimng.

This doesn’t make sense… If you ‘skipped the registration step’, how can you have problems with registration? And you said ‘ Now having problems registering’-if that is not the registration step, then what is? I am confused…

Can you please explain this, and how I can update the documentation to make this clear?
Posted by: @panicpSorry to have inconvenienced you.
It is inconvenient for both me and the users that have this problem. I almost always ask what is not clear on this issue in the documentation, and ask for recommendations to improve the documentation on this issue so that I can reduce or preferably eliminate such support requests, but everyone goes silent when I ask this. How do you think the documentation can be improved from your perspective? i.e. what is not clear in the documentation that states that when your password is not validated, and you are 100% sure that you have copied the details exactly as required, then you need to install the latest combined VC__ redistributables.
This outlines the specific order
1) I downloaded FSUIPC7.5.5 and ran the program.
2) When it came to the registration page, I entered my details exactly as required and received the error message despite ensuring I had followed the instructions in the documents (and verifying my purchase details with simmarket).
3) As i couldn’t register, i hit the skip button and went on to complete the install.
4) When I then ran the programme and loaded up MSFS, I started to get the error messages relating to the VC__ redistributables VCruntine140.dll and MSVCP140.dll specifically). I only realised this might be the problem having skilled the resistration process and continuing with the setup.
5) I then searched re: the .dll files and found these reinstall links which I ran.
7) When i got to the registration page, the details were now accepted.
Hence, i only realised the .dlls might have been the problem with the registration note being accepted AFTER i had completed the install and run MSFS.

It would have been better to check for this error in the installation and registration guide when this occured. This would have informed you that you need to check / update the VC redistributables.

This is also documented in the README.txt file:
Problems running FSUIPC7
========================
1. If you receive the following error when running FSUIPC7:The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140_1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.then you need to uninstall the 2015, 2017, 2019 & 2022 VC++ redistributables from the Windows App management panel (any/all that are installed),and then install the latest combined redistributable packages (both the x86 and x64 versions recommended, although FSUIPC7 only requires the x64 version)from here:
Posted by: @panicpHence, i only realised the .dlls might have been the problem with the registration note being accepted AFTER i had completed the install and run MSFS.
But the issue you posted about was registration, not the VCRUNTIME error. As it was a registration issue, you should have checked the registration guide before posting, which tells you that this can be caused by not having the correct redistibutables installed.
Still not sure what I can do to prevent people continually reporting this. I will add a FAQ entry on the VCRUNTIME issue (as it does not really belong in the installation & registration guide)..
